How Execs & Techs collects, uses and protects your personal information across our website, events and registrations.

Execs & Techs (“we”, “us”) runs ExecOps, BeerOps and GradOps events in Australia. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Information we collect

  • Contact details you give us: name, work email, phone, company, job title and LinkedIn URL.
  • Registration details: the event and city you register for, your discipline, years of experience, seniority and, where you choose to share it, security clearance level and job-seeking status.
  • ExecOps applications: seniority, budget authority, estimated IT budget and anything else you tell us.
  • Website usage: pages visited, device and browser information, and approximate location derived from your IP address.

How we use it

  • To run events, confirm eligibility, send tickets, reminders and event updates.
  • To review ExecOps applications, including checking public LinkedIn profiles.
  • To reply to enquiries and send newsletters you have opted in to.
  • To understand and improve our events and website.

Sharing with sponsors

We never sell your personal information. Event sponsors only receive your details if you explicitly opt in at registration, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to host our website and databases, send email and process payments. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.

Storage and security

We store information with reputable cloud providers and use physical, electronic and procedural safeguards. Some providers may store data outside Australia; where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time, and ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing hello@execsandtechs.com.

Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, contact us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
